Wrestling superstar arrested for another DUI

Jeff Hardy, a superstar wrestler with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), was arrested on DUI charges last year. He was recently arrested again in North Carolina, making it two sets of charges in two years.

When asked for comment, the WWE did not want any part of it. They simply said: “Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”

The problem, to some degree, is the compounding nature of the charges. The most recent arrest, per reports out of North Carolina, happened on Thursday, October 3. The police pulled him over right around 10:30 p.m. They already suspected that he was impaired and that is why they made the traffic stop. When they did so, they found out that he still had a revoked license, but he was driving anyway.

Hardy is 42 years old, and he is beginning to rack up quite a record. The other DUI arrest happened last March. He had crashed his car, and he admitted that he was behind the wheel. This summer, in July, he was in Myrtle Beach when he was arrested on allegations of public intoxication.

If you go back farther, you can find records from 2009 of an arrest due to prescription pills and cocaine. He had to spend time behind bars for that incident in 2011.

In the wrestling world, his brother Matt is also a well-known star. He was asked about the incident and sided with the WWE, saying: “Jeff has to make his decisions about his life…I can only control my actions.”

In highly publicized cases like this, where a person’s reputation is on the line along with everything else, it’s crucial that they know all of their legal defense options.
